Hiking Canmore to Banff

January 4th & 5th, 2025

Greg and I took the weekend off of mountain climbing to hike from the town of Canmore through the Goat Creek/Spray River valley to his apartment in Banff (about 28km and 700m). The main goal of our trip was to do some winter camping and test out our new tent, my new sleeping bag, and some more recent additions to the gear arsenal. It was an awesome chill weekend! We got some cool views of the Rundle peaks, Goatview Peak, Sulphur Mountain and the Sundance range behind.
